Analyse of Cummins diesel engine not starting normal

Fault type: diesel engine can’t start
Fault phenomenon: when execute the starting operation, the diesel engine can’t start
Fault reason:
a: the battery voltage is low or battery capacity is not enough
b: the power supply of control circuit is innormal
c: the starter relay doesn’t work normal
d: the starter motor is not work

Fault handling

a: check the battery voltage. The voltage is 12V, 24V when not started. The battery voltage is 12V system should be not less 9V and the 24V system should be not less 18V when started.
b: check whether the DC power supply circuit of insurance or switch is in the closed state, to ensure that the control circuit power supply is normal.
c: check the starter relay. To confirm whether it can work normal when have the power supply.
d: check the starter motor. To confirm whether it can work normal when have the power supply.
